Pacs Medical Integration

Medical Integration

The PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) has developed into a true all-rounder, in which not only the data of classic modalities such as CT, MRI or X-ray are merged. Information from other subsystems, such as endoscopy, also finds its rightful place in the PACS. Accordingly, a state-of-the-art PACS must be able to integrate a variety of systems and formats

Our JiveX Enterprise PACS is perfectly equipped for this purpose. It systematically supports all relevant IHE profiles using the common standards such as DICOM or HL7. Furthermore it features conversion gateways that can be used to integrate non-DICOM data such as JPEGs, videos or ECGs. After conversion to the DICOM format, these data can also be archived, shared and viewed in the patient context.

Radiologists are thus provided with a complete diagnostic picture which provides them with maximum support in interdisciplinary collaboration.

In-depth integration into existing structures

JiveX can be integrated seamlessly into the entire IT structure. Linking of modalities and subsystems is independent of the manufacturer of the system or the software. In-depth integration into the RIS and/or HIS enables bidirectional communication between the systems, which simplifies processes in radiology and minimizes documentation and input effort on the part of users. If image data are called up from the RIS or HIS, the JiveX Viewer automatically opens with the corresponding study.

Conversely, it is also possible to call up special software from JiveX – directly from the diagnostic context. Thus, the physician’s workflow is not interrupted. The relevant series is transmitted by JiveX when the special software is called up, so that it opens accordingly without requiring any further selection.
